Description
York City and County Banking Co., £100 shares, £20 paid, 1857, lovely vignettes including York Minster, black, Perkins Bacon & Petch printing, hand numbered issue.
The bank was established by Deed of Settlement in 1830 and taken over by Midland Bank in 1918. we have been fortunate to find a small number of these of various issues from this, the earliest known, to one dated 1882 but only partially signed.
