Jamaica. bill of exchange, 1802, slavery interest. A bill drawn on John Graham Clarke in Newcastle by Jacob Graham. Signed by Jacob Graham and accepted and signed by John Graham Clarke in 1803. Endorsements on reverse.
Jacob Graham (1726-1816) owned Lapland Estates in St.James, Jamaica. His nephew John Graham Clarke took over the Estates on his death, The estate was recorded of having 134 slaves in 1819. The family are well documented in recent slavery research,
