Ireland: West Cork Mining Company, £50 share, 1836, scrollwork at left, on vellum, black, VF.
Formed by 1834 to work copper mines on the islands of South West Ireland. Horse Island was extensively worked by the company. Ore was shipped to Swansea to be smelted and sold.
