Bowden Brake Co. Ltd., £1 shares, 19[22], ornate scrollwork at left, embossed seal, black, glue residue to top left corner, very fine.     Registered in 1901 and located in Tyseley, Birmingham, the company manufactured cycle brakes, seats, body pressings etc. The Bowden cable was invented by Ernest Monnington Bowden. He patented the mechanism, a flexible tube containing a length of fine wire rope, in 1896.   The image is from our archive any may not be the item sent however the condition will be the same.
