Van den Berghs Ltd., Pref. 5/- shares, 1926, vignette of factory site at top, decorative border, embossed seal, green and black. Originally a soap and margarine manufacturer in the Netherlands and creators of Vitello and Stork margarine. With a profit sharing agreement in place with their competitors Jurgens, the companies formed an alliance with Kellog’s and opened factories in the UK. They later joined forces with other manufacturers to create Margarine Unie which eventually merged with Lever Brothers, to become Unilever.
