Shrewsbury and Hereford Railway Company, £20 share, 1846, rural scene with Castle in background at top, black, slight toning, otherwise extremely fine.
Incorporated in 1846, a 50 mile standard gauge line between the towns which opened in 1853. The line was absorbed into the Great Western and the London and North Western companies in 1862 allowing both companies access between the South Wales coal fields and Industries in the Northwest of England.
